Read the death message

When a grave can be created, it stores dropped items in an owner-only barrel and reports its location and protection time. Other players, co-op members and hoppers cannot collect from that container.

Graves hold 27 stacks. Overflow drops beside the barrel as ordinary unprotected items. If a grave cannot be placed, normal death drops remain. Do not treat the system as guaranteed protection for everything you carry.

Recover your belongings

Option Cost and behaviour
Return to the barrel Opening your own grave is free.
/grave locate Shows the latest indexed active grave's coordinates.
/grave recover Paid remote recovery; default 250 Marks. The command starts the payment immediately.

Make inventory space and stand somewhere safe before remote recovery: items that do not fit can drop at your feet. Grave protection defaults to 24 hours; use the time reported by the server. Expiry releases contents as ordinary drops.

Return promptly

A server restart can prevent older graves from appearing in locate/remote recovery, even while the physical barrel remains. Keep the coordinates from your death message and contact staff if needed.

Falling into the island void is different: island rescue returns you with your items instead of creating a grave.
